Privacy Policy

Privacy first: Pet Story is built so that we never see your pet records. There are no accounts, ads, or behavioral tracking. Everything you record stays on your device and, when iCloud backup is available, in your own private iCloud container. RevenueCat processes limited purchase information as described below.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Personal information

Pet Story requires no account, name, email address, or phone number. You can use the app without identifying yourself to Studio AM.

1.2 Your care data

Everything you enter is stored locally on your device: pet details (name, breed, life stage, birthday, weight), care schedules and logged care records, photos you attach, costs and vet/vendor notes, and reminder preferences. This data never leaves your device except through the backup and export features described below, which go only to storage you own.

1.3 Analytics

Pet Story contains no advertising SDK and does not collect behavioral analytics or use data for cross-app tracking. RevenueCat's purchase service is limited to the purchase and technical data described below.

2. iCloud backup

If your device is signed into iCloud, Pet Story backs your data up to the app's private container in your iCloud account, so your records survive a reinstall or a new phone. We operate no servers and cannot access these backups. You can also back up, restore, or export a local file at any time from Settings; disabling iCloud Drive for Pet Story keeps everything device-only.

3. Purchases

Pet Story Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. RevenueCat, our purchase infrastructure provider, receives purchase history, an automatically generated anonymous app-user identifier, and limited device/app technical information needed to validate the receipt, restore access, prevent fraud, and provide purchase reporting. We do not send RevenueCat your pet records, photos, name, email, or payment details, and this information is not used for advertising tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

4. Care-template updates

Pet Story periodically checks a public Studio AM dataset hosted on GitHub Pages for newer care templates. The request does not include your pet records, photos, or RevenueCat identifier. As with ordinary web requests, the hosting provider may process network information such as an IP address under its own privacy terms.

5. Notifications

Care reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to or from a server to deliver them.

6. Photos

If you attach photos to records, Pet Story asks for photo-library permission and stores the images in the app's local storage (and in your backups). Photos are never uploaded to us.

7. Children's privacy

Pet Story is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
