Hone Reasoning is a daily critical-thinking practice app. Each session serves a short set of drills across five skills: syllogisms and deduction, spotting logical fallacies, verbal analogies, abstract pattern reasoning, and argument analysis. Every question comes with a full explanation, and difficulty adapts to how you perform. The App Store listing is named Critical Thinking & Reasoning.

There is no permanent free tier. Your first session runs before any paywall so you can see the whole loop: questions, explanations, and your summary. After that, practice requires a subscription: $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year in the US. Eligible new subscribers get a 3-day free trial; Apple shows eligibility and local terms before purchase.

Everything you have already done. Your history, past session results, streak record, and the explanation for every question you have answered stay open forever, with or without an active subscription. The paywall gates starting new sessions only.

The syllogism and deduction items are verified by machine: every possible interpretation of each argument is checked exhaustively, so the marked answer is provably correct, not an author’s opinion. Pattern items are generated from their own rules, so the answer is correct by construction. Fallacy, verbal, and argument items are hand-reviewed against a fixed taxonomy. If you believe a key is wrong, email us. We will check it and fix it.

Sessions adapt. Strong performance moves you toward harder items (up to level 5); mistakes ease the next selection. Your level carries between sessions, so practice picks up where your skill actually is.

No. The full question bank ships inside the app and every drill works offline. The network is used only by Apple’s StoreKit for showing plans, purchasing, and restoring. Access is never revoked just because you are offline.

No. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no cloud sync. Your progress, streaks, and answers are stored locally on your device and never leave it.

Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. If Apple verifies the transaction, access returns without buying again. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings; a free trial ends without charge if you cancel before it is over.
