Privacy Policy

Local by design: Hone Math has no Studio AM account, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or Studio AM data server. Practice records stay locally on your device unless you deliberately export them through the iOS share sheet.

1. Information Hone Math stores

1.1 No account or contact profile

Hone Math does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, or a Studio AM account. The app does not create an advertising identifier or an analytics profile.

1.2 Local practice record

The app stores your submitted problems and answers, dates, scores, response timing, Daily Workout results, streaks, Mental Math Index, per-skill progress, puzzle records, settings, and related practice counters locally in its own app storage and iOS preferences. Hone Math does not upload this record to Studio AM or sync it through CloudKit.

1.3 Diagnostics and analytics

Hone Math contains no advertising, behavioural analytics, tracking, or third-party analytics SDK. Studio AM does not receive your problem history, usage events, device location, contacts, or identifiers from the app.

2. Network use

The curriculum, generated practice, puzzles, and progress features work offline. Hone Math connects to Apple through StoreKit to load available plans, start a purchase, restore a purchase, and verify subscription or earlier lifetime access. Those App Store actions require an internet connection. The app has no model download, advertising network, Studio AM API, or content server.

Hone Math also provides links you can choose to open for Support, Terms, Privacy, Manage Subscription, and Studio AM app recommendations. iOS opens those external destinations only after your action. Hone Math does not attach your practice record to those handoffs, and each destination's own privacy terms apply.

3. Subscriptions and earlier lifetime purchases

The currently offered products are monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 3-day introductory trial; Apple determines eligibility and displays the applicable local price, duration, and renewal terms before confirmation. A retired lifetime product is no longer sold, but Apple can return a verified earlier purchase when you choose Restore purchase.

Apple processes payment, purchase history, and subscription status. Studio AM does not receive your payment-card details. Hone Math keeps only the minimum verified product and expiration information needed to apply access and to converge when a subscription expires.

4. Your record: inspect, export, or delete

Your data controls remain available even without an active subscription. From the paywall or the You tab, you can inspect every stored answer, day, streak, score, and per-skill result; prepare complete lossless JSON plus a readable plain-text summary; or delete the local record.

Export files leave Hone Math only when you open the iOS share sheet and choose a destination. That destination's privacy terms then apply. Hone Math clears older managed temporary export files before preparing a replacement and when you delete your record. Deleting the local record does not cancel a subscription; subscription management remains with Apple.

5. Local notifications

If you enable a daily practice reminder, Hone Math asks iOS to schedule it locally at the time you choose. The app does not send a reminder schedule or notification history to Studio AM. You can turn reminders off in Hone Math or iOS Settings.

6. Data retention and deletion

The local practice record remains on the device until you delete it in Hone Math or remove the app and its data through iOS. Use Your data to delete the record without affecting an Apple subscription. Because Studio AM does not hold a server copy, we cannot retrieve a deleted record.

7. Children's privacy

Hone Math is written for adults, but it does not ask any user to create an account or provide a name or email address. The same local-storage and Apple purchase practices described here apply to every user.

8. Changes to this policy

If Hone Math's data practices change, this page will be updated and its effective date revised before the change ships.
