Privacy Policy

Privacy first: Hone Listening has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, telemetry, or cloud-sync service. Your practice record (every item you finish and how it was marked) stays locally on your device. The only network use in the app is Apple's StoreKit, described below.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Personal information

Studio AM collects no personal information through Hone Memory. The app requires no account, email address, or Studio AM identifier.

1.2 Practice record

Your session results, adaptive levels, streaks, lesson progress, and your per-drill accuracy, streak, and how many items you have finished (per-drill accuracy) are stored locally on your device. Hone Listening does not use CloudKit or a Studio AM server to sync any of it, and it never leaves the app. There is no text you author here; the app never reads them for any purpose other than showing them back to you.

1.3 Analytics and advertising

Hone Listening contains no third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking, or Studio AM telemetry. We do not receive usage data from the app.

2. Content and network use

The drills, fact packs, and all 65 lessons ship inside the app, and everything works offline. The one network user in the app is Apple's StoreKit, which contacts Apple to load subscription plans, process a purchase, and restore access. Apple handles payment and trial eligibility; Studio AM does not receive your name, email address, or payment details.

3. Notifications

Reminders are off by default and use local notifications only. If you enable them, the app asks for the system notification permission and schedules at most one daily practice review reminder per day, all on-device. Reminder times and contents are processed locally. Reminders are scheduled only while verified access is active and are removed when it ends.

4. Your data and access after a subscription ends

Your history and streaks remain readable without an active subscription. Losing network access or ending a subscription never deletes or locks your own record. Deleting the app removes the local record entirely.

5. Ratings prompt

The app may occasionally show Apple's standard in-app review prompt at natural milestones. Apple operates this prompt; the app sends no data with it.

6. Children's privacy

Hone Listening is designed for adults practising English listening, and for anyone who wants a sharper everyday memory. It is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

7. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
