Privacy Policy

Privacy first: Hone Focus has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, telemetry, or cloud-sync service. Your practice record and every measurement the app takes (reaction times, error counts, interference and switch costs) stay locally on your device. The only network use in the app is Apple's StoreKit, described below.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Personal information

Studio AM collects no personal information through Hone Focus. The app requires no account, email address, or Studio AM identifier.

1.2 Practice record and measurements

Your session results, adaptive levels, streaks, lesson progress, and every measurement a round produces (reaction times, lapses, commissions, interference costs, switch costs, stop-signal estimates and find times) are stored locally on your device. Hone Focus does not use CloudKit or a Studio AM server to sync any of it, and it never leaves the app. Settings can export the whole record as two readable files at any time, or erase it entirely; neither requires a subscription.

1.3 Analytics and advertising

Hone Focus contains no third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking, or Studio AM telemetry. We do not receive usage data from the app.

2. Not a medical or diagnostic product

Hone Focus measures performance on standard attention-research tasks for personal curiosity and practice. It does not diagnose, screen for, or assess any medical or psychological condition, and its numbers are not clinical results. The app computes these measurements on your device and draws no health conclusions from them.

3. Content and network use

The drills and all 22 lessons ship inside the app, and everything works offline. The one network user in the app is Apple's StoreKit, which contacts Apple to load subscription plans, process a purchase, and restore access. Apple handles payment and trial eligibility; Studio AM does not receive your name, email address, or payment details.

4. Notifications

Reminders are off by default and use local notifications only. If you enable them, the app asks for the system notification permission and schedules one daily practice reminder at the time you choose, all on-device. Reminders are scheduled only while verified access is active and are removed when it ends.

5. Your data and access after a subscription ends

Your history, streaks, and every measurement remain readable without an active subscription, and export and erase both keep working. Losing network access or ending a subscription never deletes or locks your own record. Deleting the app removes the local record entirely.

6. Ratings prompt

The app may occasionally show Apple's standard in-app review prompt at natural milestones. Apple operates this prompt; the app sends no data with it.

7. Children's privacy

Hone Focus is designed for adults curious about their own attention. It is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
