Privacy Policy

Privacy first: Daily Vibe is a private journal. Studio AM has no account system or journal server and cannot read your journal. Entries and moods are stored on your device by default. If you enable optional iCloud sync, they sync through your private iCloud database. There are no ads, third-party analytics, or behavioral tracking.

1. Information and content

1.1 Studio AM accounts and personal information

Studio AM does not collect account details or journal content through Daily Vibe. The app requires no Studio AM account, email address, or profile.

1.2 Your journal

Entries, moods, energy labels, themes, and reflections are stored locally and processed on-device by default. If you enable Sync with iCloud in Settings, the journal syncs across your devices through your private Apple CloudKit database. This option is off by default, and Studio AM does not receive or read that database.

1.3 Microphone and voice

Daily Vibe offers two voice paths. Dictation in the compose bar uses on-device speech recognition and keeps no audio. A spoken entry saves its recording on your device so you can play it back while its words are transcribed on-device. Recordings are never uploaded and never included in iCloud sync, although the entry text and recording metadata can sync when you enable private iCloud sync. Deleting a spoken entry deletes its local audio, and Settings also lets you remove recording audio while keeping the transcribed words.

1.4 Analytics and local state

Daily Vibe contains no third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking, or telemetry. It keeps settings and small feature counters locally so features such as streaks, reminders, and quality or funnel checks can work; those counters are not transmitted to Studio AM.

1.5 Spotlight, exports, and sharing

Optional Spotlight indexing is off by default and indexes only an entry identifier and date, not the entry’s words, mood, energy, or themes. Markdown export contains the readable journal. Portable JSON export contains every persisted journal and entry field, pinned questions, spoken-entry metadata, and copies of recordings stored on that device. Because recordings never sync, audio made on another device is not present in the local export. Exporting or sharing happens only when you choose it through Apple’s system share sheet. The destination you choose then receives the content you selected.

1.6 App Lock

If you enable App Lock, Daily Vibe asks the operating system to authenticate you with the device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. The app receives only the success or failure result; Studio AM does not receive biometric data. Lock-screen notification actions that write journal content require device authentication.

2. On-device processing and network use

Journal analysis and AI generation run on-device. Core journaling and one-tap check-ins work without a model, although active access is still required for fresh use. AI features use Apple Intelligence when available and ready, or an optional one-time local model download of about 0.9–2.6 GB. Devices with less than 3.5 GB of RAM cannot run those AI features. Network access occurs only for features you enable or actions you take: App Store purchases and restores through Apple; optional private iCloud sync through Apple CloudKit; an optional local-model download currently hosted by Hugging Face; and external support, legal, or crisis-resource links you open. Journal content is not included in a model-download request.

If Daily Vibe declines an Ask Your Trends question, it may offer Search the web. Nothing is sent automatically. If you tap that button, the question is placed in a DuckDuckGo search URL and opened in your default browser, where the browser and search provider’s privacy policies apply.

3. A note on wellbeing

Daily Vibe reflects patterns in your own words. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice, and its reflections are not a substitute for professional care. If an entry suggests a crisis, the app shows support resources; this detection runs on-device. Calling or opening a support resource is your explicit action and is handled by the device, browser, and selected provider.

4. Purchases

Daily Vibe Pro is offered as monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial; current US prices are $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, and Apple determines localized prices and eligibility. A retired Lifetime product is no longer sold, but an earlier purchase remains restorable. Apple processes purchases through the App Store and provides entitlement status through StoreKit; Studio AM does not receive your payment-card details. Canceling does not delete your journal. After access ends, saved entries and recordings remain readable, searchable, playable, exportable, and deletable, while new entries, recordings, check-ins, analysis, trends, reflections, widgets, and shortcuts require access.

5. Children's privacy

Studio AM does not knowingly collect personal information through Daily Vibe. There are no Studio AM accounts, ads, or behavioral tracking. Optional iCloud sync, model downloads, purchases, exports, and user-opened links work as described above.

6. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
